SHOW 15:

BUCHAREST

ARNELE ROMANE, ROMUNIA

oct 01, 2011

Bucharest, what a pleasent suprise! It was open air show at Arnele Romane stadium. Majestic, coloseum-like place which shows all of it's beauty at night. We had sound check at 5 pm and it was hot as hell, nothing like the first day of october. All day long we had a team of local hard working girls taking care of our drinks, food, photo and video material and even guitar strings ... thank you! At 8 pm we hit the stage and by that time it was night already and the view from the stage was something to remember! We were accepted really well and had great time during and after the show. We've even met some fans from Mexico, took pictures with In Flames and whole crew and had overall great time. Bucharest, we will be back!

SHOW 16:

BRATISLAVA

MAJESTIC MUSIC, SLOVAKIA

oct 03, 2011

After the long but beautiful drive on regional roads from Bucharest we finally arrived to Bratislava. On the day off we drove by "Dracula camp" in Transilvania across the 2nd highest mountain pass Balea Lac in Romania, we took some photos on the top at 2100m. When we arrived to the Majestic Music club we were tired from long drive and some of us started to feel first signs of cold. The club was nice with homy atmosphere but this was the smallest stage on this tour so far. Our 45 min set passed quickly the fan response was nice, especially since this was our first gig in Bratislava. We spent some times hanging with fans after the show and drank some red bull vodka. Slovakian language is very similar to ours and it was fun pretending we understand it completely.

SHOW 16:

ZLIN

MASTERS OF ROCK, CZECH

oct 04, 2011

First thing we did when we arrived to Zlin was park the camper in front the venue and ran for some KFC in city centre. it was a nice warm day and after some sightseing we returned to Masters of Rock club. Unfortunatelly we had no backstage or showers in the venue. The catering was the worst up to date and the result was stomack pain and nausea. We still did our best while on stage. This night we played infront smallest and most static audience on this tour. After the show we drove the camper arround the corner and slept till some old sales woman from Hervis woke us up at 8am. Back on the road towards Poland.

SHOW 18:

KRAKOW

KLUB STUDIO, POLAND

oct 05, 2011

The drive to Krakow passed quickly eventhough it was no highways again. The venue is located in student's area and reminds of a venue we played in our home town many times. We had a very nice backstage, catering and warmwater showers, which is exactly what we needed. The show was great, the moshpits started during the first song and polish people know our songs really well, it was a very intense show and we enjoyed every moment of it. This night we changed the set list and played Non Individum instead of Bring out the Beast. We finished the set with Holymen again. The response was killer and it filled us with the much needed energy for last 2 shows ahead. After a private party in our caravan it was time to hit the road again. The bus and the backline truck could not exit on the narrow road, so we helped clear the path and moved 1 car, 4 rocks (heavy as fuck) and 3 containers and clear the way. Krazy Krakow!!!

SHOW 19:

WARSAW

STODOLA, POLAND

oct 06, 2011

Stodola is one of the nicest clubs in Warsaw. We played Warsaw few times before, but never in such big place. The stage was perfect and since the ticket presale was almost 1200, there were about 1500+ people present on the day. We played the same set as last few days and the crowd went wild. Moshpit started on the first song and lasted through entire show, the whole venue was involved in the madness. There was crowdsurfing, jumping, moshpit all happening throughtout the second half of the show. The energy was so intense we felt very honoured by the amazing response. The security was very professional as was the rest of the local crew, they handled the crowdsurfers with care and noone got hurt. After the show we met many new friends and fans and enjoyed every moment. We were really surpirised and fascinated by the polish crowd in Warsaw and Krakow, we felt like at home and can't wait to return to Poland again!

SHOW 20:

PRAGUE

FACTORY MEET, CZECH

oct 07, 2011

750 km of regional roads from Warsaw to Prague took us about 12 hours of slow back-breaking drive. Meet Factory is a squad like place that reminds us of Ljubljana's Metelkova (but in a better condition) with unfortunatelly the smallest stage we played on this tour. We arrived very late and rushed for sound check before dinner. There was another band opening this night and which added to the confusion on stage. The result were technical problems through the first few songs. We played Forebang instead of Non Individum and if the tour would continue this would be our playlist. This was probably the worst sound on the tour but in the end everything turned out ok and the response was cool. Again we met many nice people at the merch stand after the show and signed some cds and posters.

It was time to pack all our stuff and say goodbye. This was the best tour in our career and we met many new friends. We spent 29 days on the road in total, drove about 14.000 km, performed in 13 countries on 20 shows, infront of 40.000 people. After this adventure we are all looking forward to come home to our families and at same time we hope to hit the road again soon.

We would like to say special thanks to:

each and everyone from the crowd in every place we played, all the local crews and promoters, Master of metal- Ana Lipec and Bastian Doblekar, Jeremy Hale, The Agency Group, In Flames, Bjorn Gelotte, Peter Iwers, Anders Friden, Niclas Engelin, Daniel Svensson, Tomas Kubik, Paulo DoVale Graca, Bengt Jansson, Calina Royer, Nils Mehring, Dominik Schreiber, John Cooke, Greg Winn, Trevor McCudden, Jo Saal, Carlos Marreiros, Pierre Sabbag, Max Busta, Stefan Matthey, Ewald Tartar, Martin Sobotnik, Andrea Peroni, Claudia Tonella, Max Muzzioli, Tomas Fiala, Tomasz Ochab, Martin Stoyanov, Sarah Galic, Laurent Merle, Steffie Girot, Listenable Records, Schecter Guitars, Spector basses and Artworx Merchadising.

SHOW 14:

SOFIA

HRISTO BOTEV, BOLGARIA

sep 30, 2011

The second time in Sofia for us. First time we opened for mighty Venom and Mayhem in the same venue and since we are not strangers to Bolgarian metalheads we had pretty high expectations for this show. And we were right! The atmosphere in the venue was intense and crowed started to cheer even before we went on the stage. As usual we gave our 110% and crowed gave us back the energy trough entire show. After the show we met lots of crazy fans that came to the show even from Greece, Macedonia and Serbia! Now that's a dedicated audience, thank you all!

SHOW 13:

LJUBLJANA

KINO SISKA, SLOVENIA

sep 28, 2011

Home sweet home. The home crowd is usually the most difficult one for us. We were not too optimistic about the reaction of the public at first but we connected with them and the energy exploded. We opened with Terror again and soon after the opening riff, people started to enjoy the show. It was a good concert, we had good time and did lot’s of press after the show. We partied and met with friends and families. We couldn’t stay long as we had to prepare for one of our longest and most difficult drives towards Bulgaria and Romania. We have played eastern countries a lot in last two years and know those shitty roads and border crossings  very well, but we also know dedicated Bulgarian and Romanian metal heads and cannot wait for probably one of the best shows on this tour.

SHOW 6:

LAUSANNE

LES DOCKS, SWISS

sep 20, 2011

The drive was long, we still had sand from the Barcelona sea in our hair when after 300 km the temperature dropped to 8 degrees. After the hot temperaments in Spain and Portugal we didn't know what to expect from Swiss fans. We've never played Switzerland before, but have always been on the contact with Swiss bands. We're friends with Samael, Tryptikon, Sybreed and we have always respected the Swiss' scene from Celtic Frost, Coroner to Apocalypse. First show was in the French part by the lake Leman in the beautyful city Lausanne. Les Docks is a nice venue with the capacity of 1000 and it was sold out that night. The food, crew, equipment and sound was awesome and so was the crowd. The Swiss audience was a little withheld in the beginning but we successfully rose the atmposphere which they wellcomed with a moshpit on Monarch song and we felt like everyone celebrated with us. The show was running smoothly  and we had fun all 45 minutes on stage.  Drop  from Sybreed came to visit us which was a nice surprise. The In Flames show was crasy as always and after the show we partied in the backstage and later on their bus. We listened to metal classics and drank till 3am. After the buscall, we decided to sleep it over infront of the venue but ended having fun in our camper (ubivalnik) till 4.30. When we woke up the sun was shining and after the coffee in bar next door we drove towards Zurich.

SHOW 7:

ZURICH

KOMPLEX 457, SWISS

sep 21, 2011

When we arrived to Zurich and parked in front of the venue we knew we will have a killer show. The venue is just perfect, run as a family business they offer you a 2 floor venue with huge backstage with its own open air terasse balcony. The place is huge and you can easily get lost. Fans were already waiting in line infront of the venue when we arrived. People in Zurich know Noctiferia's albums and wanted to see us live. In Zurich we managed to get the biggest moshpit so far and fans were getting crazy. We have changed the set list and changed Evil against Evil for Bring out the beast.  After the show we met many friends, some Slovenians who live in Zurich. Vanja, the bassplayer from Tryptikon came to the show and brought us some surprises, we all were so happy we met her again. All the atmosphere in Zurich was awesome. We dont have trembles before the shows for many years, but this tour and Zurich brought that feelings back. This was our seventh show and 11 days on the road with In Flames and the next destination was the small Austrian town on the border with Switzerland called Hohenems.

SHOW 8:

HOHENEMS

EVENT CENTRE, AUSTRIA

sep 22, 2011

It is September 22th and we got the touring routine back and our performance is better every day. It is a big difference if you play so many shows in a row. This is the best experience the musician can get. The merchandise sales in Zurich were good and we get lot's of compliments on good designs. Fans in Hohenems were asking us to buy our old records as many of them owned Death Culture and wanted Slovenska Morbida and Per Aspera. We don't have a single piece left from old albums and defenitelly decided to rerelease Slovenska Morbida again. We had the best merch sales on this tour here. In Hohenems we played So devoid and Bring out the beast from SM album and the usual repertouar from Death Culture. We were surprised how many people showed up. In Event Centre you will get fans from Austria and many Swiss fans to whom Hohenems is closer that Zurich. People there are dedicated metal fans. The crowd is mixed between younger generations  into death metal, metalcore and emo to old school thrashers or deathsters and normal people who just enjoy the heavy stuff. We noticed we have a certain group of fans who would put us into category with the new Djent scene. Event Centre was packed and we had a very good time there.  The moshpit on Holymen was huge. After our show we found a good place to watch the whole In Flames set and we all agreed on importance of In Flames in today's metal scene. They are one of the best european bands at the moment. It brought back memories when we saw In Flames live back in 1996 for the first time. We saw them in Stuttgart with Dissection, Dimmu Borgir and Amorphis. At that time it was only a big dream to share the stage with them some day. The next day was our third day off on the tour.

SHOW 9:

WIENNA

GASOMETER, AUSTRIA

sep 24, 2011

We had a day off and went to Salzburg, parked infront of Rockhouse club and went to the city. Salzburg was celebrating their small version of Octoberfest and many locals wear traditional Joedl uniforms. People said it is tradition that forbidds to wear modern clothing. City and people are decorated in Barock style and everything there is about Mozart. We checked his birth house. We left for Wienna in the morning. It took us some time before we found Gasometer, even that we were there a couple of months ago at Rob Zombie show. We got lost in this big city. You see Gassometer from a long distance. It is very high building with few venues inside and so far one of the biggest venues on the tour. The show had 2500 tickets presale and at least another 500 showed up on the day. The venue was full again. Wien fans are not the easiest ones. They have so many opurtunities to see different bands and they can easily judge what is good and what is not. We opened with Terror again and our energy and fans reaction was rising from song to song. Holymen was the right decision for the last song and we successfully warmed the crowd for the In Flames . Before we left we checked the Vienna squat place Arena and partied there till early morning. Now we are on the way to Budapest where we have a meeting with our endorsement partners from Schecter guitars before the show. We are on the half of the tour and soon we will be on our territory, Eastern europe.

SHOW 10:

BUDAPEST

CLUB 202, HUNGARY

sep 25, 2011

Welcome to Eastern Europe! You will notice it by the roads. So far the ride was pleasant but once you cross the eastern borders you notice a difference. Bad roads that threw sleeping Gianni and Ana out of the bunk and up into the wall in first minutes of arrival to Hungary. The show was not the best one but we enjoyed it anyway. We played the normal set of songs with two tracks from SM and the rest from Death Culture. We were tired, we couldn't hear each other on the stage well and people said that the sound in the venue was not very good.  The fan reactions in the first rows were good; the rest of the venue reacted on So Devoid with small moshpit and jumped on Demoncracy and Holymen as usual. As always we tried to do our best and had fun on the stage. We had lowest merch sales for this tour in Budapest so far. We got a visit from good friends, Sarah and Levi our old friends showed up and we had a great time. Thanks for the overwhelming friendship and support! We are close to our hometown and think and talk about our families, girlfriends and dogs. But before that we have another border to cross to Croatia, the same venue as when we opened for In Flames for the first time back in 2009.

SHOW 11:

ZAGREB

BOOGALOO, CROATIA

sep 26, 2011

This city and venue have a special meaning to us. This is where we played with Cradle of Filth, Samael and Dimmu Borgir. But we played Croatia so often that we were kinda curious what kind of fan reaction to expect. Everyone came to see In Flames first and Croats can be a difficult crowd sometimes. We have a certain fan base in Croatia and also got some die hard Slovenian fans this night, but soon after a few songs we realised that the whole venue is enjoying our show. Croatian metalheads know our songs and we were all satisfied. It was Gianni's birthday and even though we started celebrating it in Hungary already, the celebration continued in Zagreb. The best present was the congratulations from In Flames during their set. We caught a big part of their show that night and spoke to fans outside the venue for a couple of hours. Soon was time to leave for Milano and a short stop in Ljubljana where we finally saw our girls, children and family, dogs and cats.

SHOW 12:

MILANO

ALCATRAZ, ITALY

sep 27, 2011

After the night in home beds we had to leave again. It was time for Italy. W had big expectations for this show, because we get lots of fan letters from Italy. Especially after the release of Death Culture our reputation in Italy grew. Now all we had to do is to prove it live. Yes, we are a live band and Italians want the proof. We gave the best possible performance we could. In this awesome venue we had at least 1500 people watching our show in the beginning of the set and the venue was still filling during our show. The stage in Alcatraz is MEGA. The vibrations on the stage were so intense that the speakers kept moving on stage all the time and it was so loud. Fans were crazy; we were honoured with few moshpits and constant communication with the whole venue. Fans would sing and scream Money is Your God and get absolutely crazy on Rust and Holymen. This is the show we would play every day. We had lots of media coming to the show this night and we met many friends in Milan. Christina from Lacuna Coil was there and Mathias got a visit from old Italian school friends. We were on the road again soon, this time back to our home city Ljubljana.

SHOW 5:

BARCELONA

RAZZMATAZZ, SPAIN

sep 18, 2011

For Barcelona we had big expectations as we got great response from local metalheds after the release of Death Culture. We have played this multicultural city years ago and it was cool, but this time it was just awesome. When we arrived and loaded the equipment to the venue it started to rain. This was the first rain in a week on the road and we liked that the heat in the air cooled down. It rained a big time and in a moment the roof of Razzmatazz got broken and it started to shower directly into the venue in front of the stage. We were lucky that local promoter and fans from Canarian Islands helped us to move the equipment to the dry spot. The crew played Sinatra's 'Singing in the Rain' by Sinatra and both bands and the crew relaxed a bit. The promoters were very relaxed and easy, you know the Spanish way- Tranquillo and Manjana. We got a bit scarred that all the fans could not see a proper show because of the hectoliters of water that flooded the venue. But the promoters were right, the rain was gone soon and we could complete the soundcheck. The fans started to fill the venue and soon it was time for us to go on the stage. Razzmatazz is a big venue and it was filled to the last corner. Fans sang our songs and the show was perfect! We all were watching the In Flames show who got everyone in the venue up and jumping. We had a day off the next day and it was first night we could get really wasted and drunk. Both bands and crew partied till next morning when we left Barcelona and took the road via Switzerland. We stopped at a very nice beach near Barcelona and had some swimming fun, that unfortunately ended bad for Roman's knee...

SHOW 2:

SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

SALA CAPITOL, SPAIN

sep 14, 2011

Santiago was fucken awesome!! One of the best shows we ever had. The show was completelly sold out few days before. Santiago  is  old town with lot's of Barok & Gothic archecture and famous cathedral in the centre of town.  Fans in Santiago are real die hard metal heads and we give all our respect to the fans.. This is so great, returning to Spain after few years and meeting old friends and making new ones. The show was crazy! Local metalheads' reaction was so strong that we were blown away. The energy was high throughout the show. We had few mega mosh pit moments and people enjoyed the show.  AMAZING!!! We had a fan foto and signing session that lasted for almost an hour and they gave us maximum support with the compliments and buying our merchandise. We would like to say big thank you to all the people who showed us all the love and support! It may sound as cliche but metal is about friendship and music and this is also the reason why we keep doin it and enjoy in it. We saw In Flames show and complete sold out venue was singing with them on every single song, they had killer sound and the performance. After the show ended we were invited by local friends to visit the old part of the town and we met another group of crazy spanish guys who had a party on the main square. We have no idea at all what that was about. We dont speak much spanish and they didnt speak englis, but who cares we had a killer evening. It ended with the locals getting completelly naked, swimming in the fontain and riding a statue totally naked. We took some pictures of that and had a blast. Unfortunatelly we had to leave at about 3 in the morning. We ve got another 600 km and a day off.

SHOW 3:

MADRID

RIVIERA, SPAIN

sep 16, 2011

Sois de puta madre! We have good times in Spain. We met lots of Noctiferia fans. Also in Madrid. The fans were waiting in front of the venue early in the morning  we got many good compliments on Death culture and people could not wait to see us live. The venue La Riviera is a huge venue, we parked in front of it the night before and had a visit from some old friends. The crew there is professional and so was the set up of the club, the equipment, sound and light. Second the place with the capacity of 2.800 people  and a big palm in the middle,  was packed. The show was fucking cool, we got all venue jumping on Death Culture songs, we got awesome moshpit. Madrid metalheads know how to party. In Madrid you get all kinds of crowds. Underground people who call their movement Canjo. They like all music that is heavy and cool and they just took Noctiferia for their band.  In Flames show was perfect as always, mega sound and fans were singing through all night. After the show we took a long photo session with fans and in early morning  we went to the center of Madrid where the city lives as in a day. We were high on the adrenaline all night long and at 8 we went on the road to the dirrection Bilbao.

SHOW 4:

BILBAO

ROCKSTAR LIVE, SPAIN

sep 17, 2011

It took us something like 400 km to the next show and next party. The venue is in a shopping center and you would not believe how cool it looks. From one side of the buildig you go upstairs and enter the concert venue, from  the other side you step in a big shopping centre and see shops, restaurants and famous Jazz Blue Note club. People from Bascia are very kind, friendly and metal.  The backstage area was very hot with limited space, but we enjoyed listening to Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising force and new Spiritual beggars from In Flames room beside ours. The sound was not the best on the stage and we had some problems with the trigger but the show in a packed venue in general was a success. In Flames performance kicked ass and before Take this life Anders stopped agressive security guy, sent him out from the venue. We had big sucess with the merchandise and CD sales and another 600 km was in front of us. Igor started editing videos for our video diary last night and it should be uploaded within few days. Things are going smoothly. Speak to you soon.

SHOW 1:

PORTO

HARD CLUB, PORTUGAL

sep 13, 2011

It took us a couple of days- around 51 hours to arrive to Porto. We were all looking forward  to start the tour in Porto that. The last time we played Porto was in 2003 for the Per Aspera album and we just could not forget the old Hard Club. This used to be an amazing venue, very underground with the best energy and atmosphere you can get. The new Hard Club is totally different from what we expected. They changed the location and put the venue to old market place. It looks amazing it's a great venue with great equipment and crew. It was hot as hell when we arrived at 2 oclock in the afternoon and got extra super treatment from In Flames guys and their crew. Here goes the special thank you to Jez, The Agency group and ALL In Flames members  and crew that gave us this chance. Thanx so much again. We loaded the equipment and the local promoter and the local crew treated us very well. At this occasion we wouldlike to say thanx to Carlos and his great crew!

Porto metalheads are amazing we had no idea we had so many friends and fans in Portugal, people that still remember us from Malevolent Creation tour back in 2003 and the new fans who know Death Culture.  Our show was just perfect, a great start of the tour with filled venue to the last corner. We started with Death Culture album songs: Terror, Slavedriver, Delluders and Followers, Non Individum, Demoncracy, Monarch, Holymen, Samsara; in between we did Evil against Evil and played Mara as last song. We will change the set list a bit and are just talking what to play tomorow. In Flames show kicked ass as always. They are the first league band and we are very proud to be a part of this tour. After the Porto show we go to Spain to Santiago.
